IAAPS has partnered with cloud-first solutions provider Nuvem Logic on the installation of a cutting-edge technology platform which will facilitate the secure and controlled storage and management of data from across the IAAPS network.
Hosted in the cloud, the system utilises Microsoft Azure and enables IAAPS to run its vital data operations, including networking, data sharing and advanced analytics, within a fully cloud-based technology architecture, providing substantial efficiency gains over conventional on-premise solutions.
Newbury-based Nuvem Logic, a Microsoft Gold Partner which specialises in helping businesses of all sizes, from large blue-chip companies to SMEs, transition to the cloud, worked closely with IAAPS as well as its specialist equipment supplier AVL, from initial inception and strategy to design and deployment of the system.
“Our new facility houses seven state-of-the-art test cells which will generate powerful and valuable data for the various research and client projects we are involved in. This rich data is distributed across our network and can be referenced via the AVL tool set. The data is stored and managed inside the secure Microsoft Azure infrastructure which the Nuvem Logic team has designed and delivered for us,” explains Jay Galligan, Head of IT at IAAPS.
“The cloud solutions architects at Nuvem Logic really took the time to understand the business needs of IAAPS and create a bespoke and specialised package for us, remaining flexible throughout and adjusting to our needs as they evolved and changed,” says Galligan. “It is important to us to collaborate with local and regional suppliers, and we’re pleased to have been able to establish such a fruitful relationship with the team; the customer service has been second to none. We look forward to continuing this successful partnership as we update and scale up our systems in line with the growth of our operations,” he adds.
This is mirrored by Charlie Airey, co-director, Nuvem Logic: “Supplying the cloud-based infrastructure for IAAPS and its partners such as AVL to run its services efficiently has been a large project with complex needs and many variables, and it has been exciting to have been involved from concept to implementation as well as supporting the IAAPS team with ongoing maintenance and upgrades.”
“We are delighted to be working with IAAPS and to have helped put in place the technology required for such an industry-leading facility and to provide not only significant performance gains and cost-efficiencies, but also future-proof the company’s data set-up with a cutting-edge, secure, scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure,” concurs Tony Santos, co-director, Nuvem Logic.
